The Arizona Association of Crime Analysts (AACA) is a non-profit organization of law enforcement personnel and those who work in crime analysis. Crime Analysis is the identification, analysis and reporting of methods, patterns and trends in criminal activity. Activities of the Association include: crime analysis information sharing, establishing crime analysis standards and goals, and providing instruction on crime analysis theory and practice throughout Arizona.

There are no more AZTAN (Arizona Tactical Analysts Network) meetings scheduled for 2009. Please join us for our first meeting of the new year at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. All meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month on the 8th floor of the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Thank you for voting on the recent AACA by-laws change! The changes to Article IV, V and VI were approved by a majority of voters and a Web Designer has been added to the AACA Executive Board. Please congratulate Jennifer Jarosi, Phoenix Police Department. She will continue as the AACA Web Designer and now as a member of the 2008-09 Executive Board. Jennifer’s hard work and creativity continue to help promote the AACA and inform our growing membership through the AACA website. Thank you for attending the 2009 Joint Training Conference in Scottsdale in October! The presentations from the conference are being organized now and should be posted on the IACA website soon! The conference surveys have closed – nearly 1,500 surveys responses were submitted; these results will be available to presenters by the end of the year.
