  Hosted by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Crime Analyst in Residence (CAR) Program. In today’s data-rich landscape, crime analysis requires more than data collection—it demands uncovering meaningful patterns. This session presents a streamlined link analysis workflow using Microsoft Access for relational data automation and Power BI for dynamic force-directed graph visuals.

  Attendees will learn how to reduce manual effort by automating data prep, shape datasets in Power BI, and build interactive network graphs that reveal connections between suspects, incidents, and locations. Whether enhancing case development or delivering compelling visual briefings, this session offers practical tools to elevate your analysis with accessible tech.
