AACA Quarterly Meeting and 2023 Annual Awards
Join us for the quarterly meeting/training as well as the annual membership awards. The event will include speaker Briana Whitney, networking, lunch as well as presentation of awards. The Holiday Bake Off will return by popular demand. RSVP now to reserve your event attendance (limited to 80). Bingo sheets will be distributed no earlier than 10:00am; there will be a prize for the fastest completed sheet (cover all), but everyone who completes their sheet will also be entered for a prize!
Briana Whitney is a reporter for Arizona’s Family. In addition to her reporter and newscaster duties, Briana also hosts the “True Crime Arizona” podcast and TV specials. Her work as a reporter has garnered her 5 Emmy awards, and the “True Crime Arizona” podcast won an Edward R. Murrow award. Briana will speak about covering the facts of a case, highlighting key elements, telling a compelling story, and capturing an audience.

- 10:30am-10:40am: Welcome Remarks
- 10:40am-11:40am: Speaker Briana Whitney
- 11:40am-12:15pm: Interactive Activity (requires cell phone with internet access)
- 12:15pm-1:00pm: Lunch from Oregano’s and Bakeoff
- 1:00pm-1:45pm: Award Presentation and Election Announcements
- 1:45pm-2:00pm: Raffle Giveaways and Closing Remarks

Holiday Bakeoff
If you are interested in participating in the bakeoff, send an email to [email protected].
- May bring multiple entries
- Bring about 2 dozen portions (does not need to feed all attendees)
- No refrigerator available, plan accordingly
- List any common allergies that are included in your entry (nuts, gluten, etc.)
- Entries will be judged on taste, presentation, and creativity
- Winners will be decided by both a non-AACA panel and a member vote

Where: Tempe PD Apache Substation 1855 E. Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ 85281. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged.
Cost: Free to AACA Members
