Analyst Productivity Tools: Free and Low-Cost Resources

Hosted by MARCAN (Mid-America Regional Crime Analysis Network). Practically every analyst has too much to do and too little time to do it. Our workloads are increasing but the days don’t get any longer. You’ve heard the adage, “work smarter, not harder,” but how to actually do that is the difficult part! This presentation will focus on productivity tools and resources that any analyst can use to squeeze more minutes out of the day. Most are free, but some have a low cost; these tools are also a mix of browser based vs software applications downloaded to your computer. This class will not cover any social media tips, tricks, or resources. Tools covered include but are not limited to: image capture/editing, data cleaning, file conversion, note taking, task management, mapping, desktop search tools (for files on your computer), and many more!!
